This research, conducted by the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalists (Abraji), the Centro de Vida Institute (ICV), and Transparency International – Brazil, aimed to diagnose the level of openness of 41 databases managed by public agencies at both the federal level and in the nine states of the Legal Amazon. The study evaluates databases related to six types of environmental crimes – deforestation, illegal logging and mining, wildlife trafficking, illegal pesticide use, and land grabbing – as well as cross-cutting databases, including those related to environmental administrative sanctions.
