As social networks have become one of the primary means of spreading and sharing journalistic content, they have also become the stage of aggression and attempts to silence the work of the press. Based on this situation, this report presents an analysis of online violence against journalists and media in Brazil. The data recorded by Abraji monitoring and compiled in this publication encompasses the period between 2021 and 2023—when the monitoring began to highlight whether or not an episode of violence involved online aggression.
