Police affirms that the attack to Brazilian blogger was a homicide attempt

 

The Brazilian blogger Ricardo Gama, known for his harsh critics to politicians, was shot last Wednesday (the 23rd), in Rio de Janeiro. Gama was taken to the local hospital and after three surgeries he was released on the 31st.

Antenor Lopes, the local chief of Police responsible for the case, said: “we are sure it was a homicide attempt, but we cannot yet affirm what were the motivations”. He didn´t give more details about the investigations to maintain its integrity. 

Gama, who often critizes the Rio de Janeiro´s governor, Sérgio Cabral, and the city´s mayor, Eduardo Paes, believes that the attack has a connection with his political blog.
