Journalist shot in Brazil in July was victim of a passion crime

Police has confirmed that the homicide of the journalist Auro Ida, shot to death on July 21st in the capital of the central state of Mato Grosso, has no relation to his professional activity. According to the investigation, it was a passion crime.

Auro Ida was dating Bianca Nayara, and her ex-husband decided to hire a gunman to shoot him down. Rubens Alves de Lima spent R$ 2,000.00 (USD 1,123.41) to get the journalist killed. Both the gunman and the man who got in touch with him are under arrest. Alves de Lima, who planned the homicide, has not been found yet.
